I met Nadia and Maria for the first time through their Mother’s Day event and they are the most wonderful two human beings for mums to be. They are extremely knowledgeable and bring such a calming nature to what can be a manic experience for many mums to be. After the Mother’s Day event I signed up for the therapies package and so far have received a Pregnancy Massage and Reflex Zone therapy. Both of these treatments were incredible and I felt like I was walking on clouds after both sessions. Nothing is to much for these lovely ladies and despite booking the therapies package I have asked them numerous general pregnancy questions while I have been there. I came here to tell you that if you were considering getting a massage/treatment at Beyond Midwives, don't think again - just book! I first came to the Mother's Day event at Beyond Midwives and knew straight away that this place was special. Nadia and Maria who own the business are wonderful sisters that make you feel like you're part of their family. On Wednesday, I attended for my massage and was welcomed with (literally) open arms by Nadia and Maria. I was made a lovely hot drink and we chatted about how pregnancy was going so far. Then Nadia talked me through the options of essential oils she could use on me to figure out my preferences and she came up with a magical combination! Then came the massage - I still feel like I'm on cloud 9 from it! It was absolutely heavenly. Having had quite a straightforward pregnancy with only a few aches and pains, I was very pleasantly surprised at how much better I left after my massage than when I first arrived. The room the massage was in was perfect. Dim lighting, beautiful music, the aromas in the room were delightful and the bed was so comfortable! I was given a heated eye mask to put on and I just felt myself melting into the bed. Needless to say, the massage I had from Nadia was sensational and I highly recommend you go and see for yourselves. What an absolute gem of a place for pregnant and postpartum people! Nadia made me feel so welcome in the space, and tailored the pregnancy massage to exactly what I was going through at 32 weeks pregnant. I felt not pregnant for an hour! She gave me some really great advice and debriefed me on what she found out after my massage as she did some reflexology and light lymphatic drainage with a personalised blend of essential oils. I'd heard about Beyond midwives from a number of people, but my second pregnancy seemed to fly by and my big regret is not making the time to come sooner, for a treatment or one of their courses. Approaching 42 weeks the anxiety was starting to get to me. We rang on the absolute off chance they had a cancellation over the weekend. Amazingly they had and Maria was so accommodating and ran through some treatment options with my partner. When we arrived Maria sat with us and made me feel so comfortable. There was no feeling of being rushed, she had all the time for us to chat, give advice and discuss the treatment. Her whole aura and vibe was just gorgeous. The treatment itself was unbelievable. I'd never had acupuncture before so didn't know what to expect but it was amazing. The hypnosis part of it was fabulous, I honestly came away feeling like I was floating. Never had a treatment like it. 💓 The whole place is stunning and having a service like this offering pre and post natal women with so much from qualified midwives is amazing and I can't wait to come back for some post natal treatments.
