Recently attended beyond midwives to see Carol and Alison for tongue tie assessment and breast feeding support. I originally booked the first available date but after calling up in distress and pain they both went above and beyond to get me in that day, opening the venue on a day they are normally closed. My babies tongue tie was snipped there and then, the procedure was very quick with no distress and everything was explained in full detail to me before hand. I was then lead to the breast feeding room where I was helped with techniques on latch and how to prevent further trauma to my nipples. This has made the world of difference to my post partum journey, bonding with baby and general wellbeing. I cannot thank these ladies enough for taking the time to accommodate me and going that extra mile during a very vulnerable time. We are now feeding great and putting on weight and everyone is much happier and settled.
