I had my baby in August and was desperate to breastfeed. He had a tongue tie and he was unable to latch successfully. I was syringe and cup feeding him in hospital but wasn’t able to leave with this plan … there was a 16 week wait on nhs for tongue tie release.
I contacted Maria and she organised a asap appointment meaning Alison came in on her day off. The tongue tie was released and he latched straight away.
We had to give him bottles to leave the hospital so when we got home he was refusing the breast again. So two days later we saw Carol at behind midwives again and she helped with positioning and shields for short term use. He used shields for a week and then was fully on the breast, I believe this was all thanks to carols help.
I will forever be grateful to beyond midwives for allowing me to have a breastfeeding journey. I have recommended you to a few friends who’ve also had similar positive results after visiting beyond midwives.

When I had by baby in July he was 100% tongue tie and so I really struggled to feed him and was syringe feeding in hospital, the hospital said they wouldn’t discharge us until he wasn’t being syringe fed, despite there being over a 3 month wait for tongue tie correction on the NHS. I rang beyond midwives and they went out of their way to make an appointment for us the following day (the day after he was born) and I will be forever grateful as it meant we were able to bring him home and start our breastfeeding journey which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. So thankful for Alison coming in on her day off for this and to Carol for her support with breastfeeding advice. We also attended a weaning class with Carol which was brilliant. I recommend beyond midwives to anyone I know now who is pregnant, I only wish I had known about them beforehand so I could have come to classes before baby’s arrival!

I had such a wonderful experience with Beyond Midwives. My partner and I did our antenatal classes here and it's was such a calming and welcoming environment and so informative and helpful. Maria and Nadia are so lovely and genuinely care so much about everyone who comes to use their services. I also love the way the support doesn't end once you have your baby, there are loads of classes and events for new parents in addition to the antenatal support. Overall we are just so pleased with Beyond Midwives and would recommend to any parents or parents to be!

The Beyond Midwives space has been a source of comfort, learning and tranquillity throughout my pregnancy.
Maria and Nadia meet you with warmth and wisdom in equal measure, and have created a beautiful, safe and welcoming community.
The complimentary therapies I have received from Maria over the last few months have been such an uplifting part of my pregnancy journey and I always leave feeling a renewed sense of strength and peace .
My husband and I have attended the full Antenatal course at Beyond Midwives , which I can’t recommend enough - Maria and Nadia share their knowledge in a digestible way and every question is answered with detail and experience (as well as lots of references to further reading/ research if that’s your bag!)
I am due to have my baby in January and I already can’t wait to book the baby massage sessions at Beyond Midwives for the new year .

I've had x2 full body pregnancy massages at Beyond Midwives with the lovely Maria, at 18 weeks and 38 weeks pregnant. Both times were amazing and have really helped with any pregnancy related pains I have. Maria really takes the time to get to know you before the session and provides lots of advice and guidance, which is really invaluable as a first time mum.
